Guys with the "Black Matter"
My intention is for this website to become a
online magazine for guys aimed at Cardiff and, in particular,
Cardiff pub life. I am going to begin by reporting on the
new black stout from Brains, Brains Black, which also, strangely
enough, is the title of the online magazine!
Brains are often referred to as "the grey
stuff" or "grey matter", but now Brains are
Black pure and simple!
Brains Black for the Serious Guinness Guy!
Guinness have been the iconic image of black
stouts ever since I can remember and it has grown into one
of the biggest global brand names alongside the likes of Coca
Cola. Where ever I have travelled in the world, one of the
first things I do is seek out the local Irish bar and have
a pint of Guinness. I loved the stuff, and barely a day would
go by that I didn't sit quietly in a bar and watch the world
go by whilst sipping a Guinness. Then, one day, I noticed
Brains, a brewery in South Wales, had just launched a stout
called Brains Black and from the first sip I was a convert.
Brains Black has better flavour than Guinness because it seems
stronger and more positive. I like it! I like it a lot!!
So will Brains Black usurp Guinness as the best
black stout? I for one was a dedicated Guinness drinker for
over 25 years and after one sip I was converted! But then
I am Welsh, so possibly I'm biased. Anyway, I truly admire
the Brains Brewery for launching a product that targets the
huge Guinness market share. It is brave and bold and, as a
former Guinness addict, I am more than happy to shout out
my support for Brains Black.
